About Pong
Atari, 1972. Their first commercial game, designed by Allan Alcorn as a training exercise — Bushnell told him it would never ship. It became one of the first commercially successful video games in history and is often cited (somewhat unfairly) as the start of the industry.
How to play
- Mouse Y
- Move paddle (vertical follow)
- W / S
- Move paddle up / down (keyboard)
- Click / Space
- Serve
Tips
- The angle off your paddle depends on where the ball lands — return centrally if you want speed, off-edge if you want to wrong-foot the AI.
- Don't camp the middle. The AI is bounded in speed; force it to commit to one side.
